All of my Newborn Session are done at home. You can choose between a Lifestyle Session and a Combo Session. My combo session is primarily an in-home lifestyle session with 2 basic poses with props at the end. All options offer beautiful images for you to document and remember your newborn during this special time.
The most precious time to photograph a newborn baby is within two weeks of birth. Most of my sessions, whether at home or at the studio, are done when baby is between 7-12 days old. The way they look so small in your arms or curl up perfectly, their tiny little toes, their unexpected smiles… During this time babies will usually retain some of the natural curl from when they were in mommy’s tummy and be more sleepy and that is why it is very important that the newborn session is done at this stage.
My lifestyle sessions usually last 1 hour and the Combo between 1.5 and 2 hours. There is no rush with a newborn photography session. I do not mind waiting for you to nurse/feed, or taking a break to soothe your baby. I have a very a flexible shooting schedule when it comes to how I will approach your session and it all comes down to feeding breaks and cuddle breaks. I give direction and guidance to a point but mostly I am just creating a space and opportunities for connections to happen naturally.
I offer discounted packages when a Newborn Photo Shoot is booked with a Maternity or other milestones sessions, such as 6 months, Cake Smash or 12 months sessions.
